Lighting as functional Décor. Bedroom concept.
Most probably you will agree with me that bedroom acts as a shelter from our dynamic and overloaded lifestyles, it re-energizes and heals physically and emotionally.
Thinking about good bedroom design - the lighting scheme comes to an early stage, even much earlier before the choosing any bedroom idea.
Lights firstly should reflect a relaxing atmosphere, ensure good night's sleep, and provide visuality for functional tasks (getting dress, make-up or reading).
That is why Viola Home Design focused so much on a lighting plan while designing bedroom, which itself has a plenty of daily light coming from the east and south facing windows. But after the sunset, artificial light should take the role at any time of day and across any season - cozy in winter, airy in summer.
PLAN AND COLORS
The importance of the good lighting is obvious, but it comes to a challenge when the room plan is ❗asymmetric and its continuous walls are ❗ disrupted with niches.

During the functional planning stage, the wall niches decided to host practical wardrobes. While the family bed to be harbored alongside the longest wall in the area.

White and achromatic is visually expanding the bedroom space. It also works welcoming for any colorful décor elements, or bedding, window textile, or enhancing the warmth coming from the illumination.
COMBINING LIGHTING LAYERS
The designer worked on a three lighting sources combining the: task, decorative and ambient/general layers.1) Led strips - switched on early evening grants a glamour character to the room space and ambience feeling while moving through it. The composition of the led strip seamlessly separates the relax zone and balances the irregularly shaped room.
