"Designing HOME for people is a privilege. Empathetically look at people first - to meet their need physically, emotionally and visually" (Phoebe Oldrey)

Play. Discover. Rest. A concept for a boy room

Let us introduce our first project for our first client - a 10-year old boy. Not a baby anymore, but still not yet a teen. Its the age when a kid starts discovering the world not only by playing, but reading books, browsing web and communicating with its peers.

The location of the boy room was selected on the 2nd floor. The room is not the biggest one, but not the smallest as well.

The obvious challenges for the designer in the area:
❗to overcome limited lighting issue (the window faces eastern part, and the daylight is limited);
❗to exploit the space under the lowered norther wall.

A section of the room to be renovated

Viola Home Design created a vision of the room, with a concept where the boy is able to be active, to discover the world and to take a rest maintaining its privacy. The problem of the dim light in the room solved with increased number of lighting structures, and the area to the northern wall, under the slanted ceiling will house the built-in wardrobe.
